We all know that a lack of sleep impacts on our quality of life. The western world seems to have an increasing problem with sleep disorders - some have called this an epidemic!
Sleep insufficiency has been linked to industrial accidents, car crashes (sometimes leading to death) as well as medical and other work related errors. People with poor sleep patterns are also more likely to suffer from diabetes, memory loss, depression, obesity, heart disease, hypertension and even cancer in addition to mood problems such as irritability and poor concentration.
Latest sudies have shown that:
Alot of clients turn to drugs as the first port of call however they don't address the real cause of the problem such as stress, anxiety, worry, low mood or pain instead they address the symptoms often with negative side-effects.
So what can be done?
I work with a number of therapy methods to support clients:
TFT (Thought Field Therapy) - studies have shown that this normalises cortisol (our stress hormone) levels, decreases and often eliminates pain, lifts moods and reduces anxiety. This process effectively deals with the root cause of all distress by eliminating the negative emotions linked with it.
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) - this therapy helps change the way we think in the present - dealing with how we worry or get anxious therefore interrupting the negative thinking patterns that can keep us awake.
Hypnotherapy - this teaches us firstly how to relax and induce altered states of sleepiness and secondly programmes our mind to eliminate the worry and anxiety thinking. This is always supported with a hypnotic audio track 'Sleepy Dreams' in addition to one to one hypnosis sessions.
Together these methods have helped hundreds of clients over the years eliminate anxiety, stress and sleep better.
Please call or email if I can help you to sleep better.
