Excessive Drinking - The Subject of our Times

The words 'binge drinking' are often contained in the headlines. If you haven't heard the expression 'binge drinking' you must be living on another world as it is so commonly in the news. Just about everyone has on some occasions found ourselves dancing the night away having had one (or six) too many wines.

We live in a very stressful world, and each and every day our lives get busier, the desire to have escapism grows stronger. It is no wonder we turn to alcohol: visit a town centre on a weekend and everybody is out letting off steam, having fun. Competition between bars is brutal, and offers on drinks are getting more and more competitive every single week. A lot of people don't see it as an issue, after all it's just a good night out right?

What exactly can make drinking become a binge?

You could be amazed to know that consuming just a few of glasses of wine classifies you as a binge drinker. The NHS class binge drinking as drinking over two large servings of wine in a brief period of time. Which means more people are binge drinking than probably appreciate it. Hypnotherapy techniques can assist those who drink too much on a night out. It can also help those planning to simply reduce their drinking.
